Iona first used the name Earth-Sky in 1977 when she published a Mandala Calendar. At the time, she was living in a log house, and called her enterprise The Tree House of Earth-Sky. This was soon changed to Earth-Sky Unlimited. The term Earth-Sky refers to the kundalini energy, which moves through one’s body and chakras from the feet to the head and from the head to the feet, combining the physical energies of the earth plane with the more refined spiritual energies which we access through our crown charka. She added the work “Unlimited” to acknowledge the fact that our spiritual growth is unlimited, the only apparent limitation being how we may limit ourselves.

 

Though Iona had experienced a wide variety of mystical or psychic abilities from infancy, she had not felt comfortable to share this in a world which seemed at best, to laugh at such things, until she again met a friend from many lifetimes; the Englishman Ronald P. Beesley, internationally known healer and teacher of healing, at White Lodge, Kent, England. Iona then began a personal awareness upsurge, recalling abilities and healing methods learned in other lifetimes. At, her mentor, Mr. Beesley’s urging, Iona began to work as a healer, and teacher of healing, continually expanding her gifts and striving to share them with others, which she has done over the past decades. This expansion includes various kinds of personal and environmental healing, the individually accessed and painted soul-reminders which she calls Personal Mandala-Shields®, as well as classes and workshops.

 

Iona’s Personal Mission Statement and Spiritual Goal:


“All of my Spiritual Growth work is driven by my intention to provide my fellows in this incarnation with a 'boost' for their own path of Spiritual Growth. My goal is the freedom, of us all, to reawaken to full awareness of the Wholeness that is inherently ours.”

It is important to Iona that she never causes others to become dependent upon her for their answers, but rather that she encourage them to be dependent upon their own direct relationship with creation/Creator and their own spiritual belief path. In line with this thought, Iona refrains from doing personal psychic readings, feeling that to be an infringement on other’s freedom of choice and personal growth
